Half Round strings are wound with pure nickel, just as when they were first introduced in the mid-1970s.
They feature a light polishing on the surface similar to Chromes strings—but remain unpolished toward the core, giving the character of an unground string.
Since their introduction in 1976, many have tried to copy Half Round strings without great success.
The original is still simply the best.
